Building on the success of the V1 Companion™ app, which is available separately for owners of the Valentine One radar locator, the R8 Companion™ app incorporates years of optimization and features.

One impressive feature of the R8 Companion™ app is its enhanced GPS location-based "false muting" through SpotLocks™. With this app, you can rest assured knowing that all future updates will be available free of charge to purchasers of R8 Companion™.

The alerting and muting systems of R8 Companion™ are fully optimized for the R8 platform. The intelligent voice announcements and on-screen visuals keep you well-informed and aware of your surroundings.

Please note that to function correctly, R8 Companion™ requires a Uniden R8 radar detector with US Version 127 firmware.

• SpotLocks™: Location-based false silencing made easy. Activate the intelligent location-based learning feature and let R8 Companion™ handle the rest. Alternatively, you can manually lock or unlock locations from the main alert screen.
• Seamless integration with your R8's built-in "auto mute memory" locations. Any changes you make to locations on the app will be applied to your R8 simultaneously.
• Option to play detector tones within the app.
• "Proximity" meter: A better representation of the signal source using high-resolution signal strength and direction information provided by the detector.
